I started taking riding lessons with Karri ten years ago (when I was 12).  I had only ridden western before, so she had to start basically from the beginning-posting, diagonals, leads, etc.  Karri has taught me a solid set of riding skills which I have been able to successfully apply in recognized dressage shows, college hunt seat and dressage, and most recently, eventing.  She is willing to work with a variety of horses, perhaps best  evidenced by successfully coaching me and PCF Vidar (a Fjord Stallion) to winning the Open Training and Reserve First Level National Dressage Pony Cup Championship in the summer of 2009.  More importantly, Karri has taught me invaluable life skills.  When I met her, I was just a horse-crazy little kid.  Karri  stuck with me through all of high school and college, becoming a mentor and a best friend.  Karri has been, and continues to be, a formative influence on my life and I am extremely thankful to her for her influence in making me the young woman that I am today.                                                                  Shannon Sullivan

Karri tailors each lesson to fit her students.  She imparts a conviction for riding correctly while providing concrete examples for which the students can connect.  Her talent and dedication to training both horse and rider are unsurpassed.  The passion she shows for coaching is evident and her students can’t help but thrive when in her lesson program!
